Chicago Trip

!!!! I'M BACK!!!!

Chicago was fun!I miss it already...

DAY 1

We left campus on Tuesday evening at 8pm. We spent the entire morning packing and cleaning stuffs in our room..By we, I meant Eugene and I actually..I packed mine the night before, but I had to wait till I did my laundry that morning so that I would have enough clothes to bring along. Anyways, we were so focused in packing and tiding ourselves, we forgot to eat dinner! haha..when we realized that, all the cafeteria were closed, so, we stopped by Quiznos. Then, up to the bus and sit for 12 hours! Ok, so, we had several stops at McDs

Day 2:

Greeted by the sound of traffic and sirens. Oh, I missed those noises..it was raining..First stop was the Field Museum..it was awesome! It was big and nice..it had a lot of stuff..I kinda learnt stuff and realized there were similarities in our culture and other countries' as well..things that they used in the past, onaments etc..later, back to hotel for some free time. We stayed at the Inn of Chicago@ Millenium Mile. It was like in the middle of downtown area..everything was happening around us. Hyeona and I were overwhelmed by just being in the city, so we decided to go for a walk..and we actually walked really far and as if it wasn't cold enough, it was raining! *shivers* Dinner @ the Cheesecake factory *yummy..i miss the cheesecake already* and then up up up to Handcock Observatory..the view would make you speechless..I wonder what it would be like to bungy jump from there, and everyone else thought I was insane..kaka..94th floor would really get your adreline pumping..

Day 3:

Guess what I saw the first thing I woke up? SNOW!!! *JUMPS EXCITINGLY* I really got excited and started jumping on the bed like a kid.. *malunya* even though it was just a little, it definitely made my day! ^_^ Ok, so, we went to Museum of Science and Industry..definitely encourage you to check it out if you''re in Chicago..It's a little kiddy if you're all mature and boring..but go with an open mind..I know I enjoyed..later, more walking around the city before our FREE Thanksgiving Dinner..we had a traditional meal. =) then, back to hotel, jalan a little more with my RA,Oscar and Eugene before heading back to hotel, shower and study..

Day 4:

A little sunshine, but windy. Everyone I knew went shopping since it was Black Friday and it was having sale everywhere. I didn't go because my friend ditched me. But then, I got to eat Chicago hotdog & corn dog at a vendor (..not like de stalls we have back home also..it's a building.. ^_^" wonder why they say vendor..hmm..) everyone else missed it! it was really different than the ones we have in AR. Ok, so we went to the Aquarium and Planeterium. Aquarium is a MUST GO if you're there..but planeterium was a little too kiddy for me..so, u figure la..I saw so many different sea creatures, some that exists in Malaysia wei..ok ok..then, we (Me, Diego, Eugene and Hyeona) took the subway to the new Chinatown for some good food! Well, we were suppose to meet Hyeona's friends there for dinner but we got there earlier. So, more walking..we had hot milk tea at a chinese bakery shop and I got to watch Chinese drama series there too! The people there just kept staring at me while I was watching tv and trying to translate some stuff..Ok, so, I know I don't exactly look Chinese-y but I'm still Chinese ok? Just because my ancestors have mixed before doesn't make me non-chinese.. =p it was just hilarious coz' I kinda expected people to stare at me weirdly..when I spoke in chinese, that shocked most people who didn't know me.. XD Ok, chinese food was just........GOOD......oh, and something happen while we were having dinner. You know there are dry chili in Kung Po Chicken right? I was just chewing the chilis like normal snacks..and I showed it to Diego and he actually did the same as I did, except that his was a tiny one and mine was a huge one. Omg..his face turned so red and he kept drinking water after he couldn't tahan the spiciness..and I was still eating..it was just so funny but then I felt kinda bad because he did it just because I did..what he doesn't know is that I LOVE spicy food and I'm used to eating chili like that.. It was just a priceless day..later, we went out again to malls at Northside of Chicago..and they had BodyShop..man, I was so happy..it's cheaper than KL as well! got me some lotion..

Day 5:

Cold and windy. Woke up and showered and packed everything to put in the bus. Headed to Planeterium for a group picture! then Millenium Park for more pictures and it was free time again. This time, I was mad at Hyeona for being bossy and selfish for the past few days. I was being very patient until she messed up my hair. That time, I really lost it at her. That definitely told her to stop bossing me around..and she's a bad sleeper! I didn't sleep well at all for those few nights. That's probably why I was a little cranky before she started being bossy. Ok, so after all these, we went to the theatre to get Eugene and Hyeona their broadway tickets. I didn't wanna go because i wanted to save money and I wanted to see more of the city. I could always watch the broadway in KL as well. So, no big deal. Then, we went to eat the Famous Chicago Pizza which was just delicious. I miss that pizza. Eugene and Hyeona ate in 5 minutes as they had to catch their show. So, that left me and Diego. So, we went for a walk at the Millenium Park and around The Loop. We even got to see the financial side of the city, the Christmas Fest in the middle of The Loop. Then, public library, bookstores, and several other places. By the time the girls finished their show, we were tired from our long day of exploring the city. It was awesome! then, I took Eugene to get her boots at several shops Diego and I saw around the city and she did! glad she was happy..but Hyeona was just being selfish and gloomy as usual. No idea what was on her mind..probably because we didn't do what she wanted--> go to Navy Pier again for pictures..but anyhow, I'm glad we did what we wanted instead of being bossed around for that day.

7.30pm:

Board our bus and head back to Fayetteville. I was tired, did a little studying on the bus, some chatting and then doze off..we had several stops and before I knew it.I was back in Fayetteville. It was so freaking cold yesterday, and the heater wasn't turn on yet..and no food on campus..so I had instant noodles *thanks to Diego*, watched tv, do hw, talked to my family and then hang out with Diego and Matt..

*Day ends..holiday ends and now it's time to study for my finals next week..Wish me luck y'all..

Enjoy my pictures!

I'm gonna miss you, Chicago..
