I'm here!!!

I'm safe and sound in Arkansas! I didn't get lost in ANY of my transits..almost did actually.. =p

Anyway, when I got out of the plane, Suzannah and her parents were already waiting for me. We talked and she showed me around her house. Ate some chocolate chips cookies with milk. Got licked by her 3 dogggies: Doughnut is the fattest one and she keeps licking my leg! Wayne and *i can't remember another one* are like the dogs in hush puppies. But the dogs are really really huge here! Fat and big! And the cat, is so so so much fatter than the ones we see outside our house. Fat and big also! Everything's bigger here: cars, roads, shops, buildings...and PEOPLE! but my temporary housing in Holcombe is not really big. Toilet is kind of smelly and not too big.The air-con is really old, and not cold. I don't like Holcombe. I hope Yocum is better! Ok, back to Suzannah, I slept in her room. She's so sweet! She even lend me a couple of books so I won't get bored.

Oh, I had Chinese food yesterday for lunch. $6.99 per person for buffet lunch. Suzannah's mom took me there and guess what? She loves Chinese food as well! haha..the food..yummy..Taste like the food we eat back in Malaysia. So, it's not bad. Ice-cream is really really good! I love the raspberry chocolate chip flavor..Then I went to Walmart with my temporary roommate and 2 girls to buy some things: detergents and some bread and peanut butter. Got all the cheapest stuff, but it still cost a lot! Almost $13.00. Man, I have to stop converting!

Dinner time! It was tough decision! Hyona, Jungha Park and I walked all the way down Dickson St, stopping at each window to look at the prices! haha..can you imagine 3 girls walking aimlessly for food? Then we decided to have Maki at a restoran called "The Rice Village". It's not bad. We got free Miso soup. we shared the bill. So, it's $7 each. It's not so cheap after I converted..RM 27 for a meal? Oh dear....

Then, I had my orientation today. Lots of Korean here! I'm trying to remember the names. It's very hard to pronounce. Most of the students in the orientation are exchange students. So, they'll only be here for either 4 months or 9 months! Since there's so many Koreans, people mistakenly speak to me in Korean.

Ok, what else? We had buffet lunch at North Quad Cafeteria. Food's okay. All western food. I ate salad, a slice of peperoni pizza, a brownies and a banana with coke. But the way I see other Asians eat, it's really scary! They go for everything, in large amounts! It's like they never eat those food before...

I just open a bank account today. Tommorrow, I will open a savings account and then deposit money into my accounts. Oh, by the way, there are no Malaysians here yet!!! I'm the only one..and even some of the Koreans don't know where Malaysia is hahaha..funny right?
