Back to school

Hey everyone....miss me? hehe..

So, classes just resumed this week and I'd been really busy since my first day. But, it's a long weekend..thanks to Martin Luther King.. ^_^ I'm taking 15 credit hours this semester with a part time job and some activities..

• Business Foundation
• Data Analysis and Interpretation
• Composition II
• Elementary Spanish
• Microeconomics

These classes are not as easy as one might think. You may think, well, what's the big deal? well, learning a new language at 7.30am does not help..i can't remember all my a-lvls statistics for data [hopefully it'll come back to me when I start my class, officially], and you HAVE to get an A for Composition II in order to pass.. *sigh* it's not easy..and my microeconomics prof is a little soft, even when she's using the microphone..other than that, I have pretty good teachers, nice classmates and lots of assignments and fun as well..hehe..

I know I can manage my time properly with my studies but now with a job, I'm a little worried..I will try to get myself a little more organized, a little more well managed I guess..I'll try, but there's no guarantee that I will succeed with my plan..plans change..haha..but whatever it is, I'll do just fine..at least I feel that way. btw, if I haven't mention what job I got..here it is..

I'm tutoring pre-college math..hehe..for high school kids. It's gonna be so much fun and different from what I'm used to [difference is that this is an official job =p ] ~ I got this job all thanks to my friend who referred me to his supervisor as he had found another job--doing research with a prof..that relates to his major, so I guess everything worked out well for us both..you know what, I'm so blessed all my life! I got to be friends with my professors, have friends invite me over for meals, hang out with when I'm bored and just looking out for me.. I'm glad to be who and where I am today..

my vacation..so far

My holiday so far has been filled with lots and lots of music..playing both piano and trying to learn the violin at the same time. It's been fun though..hehe..and lots of movie watching too..I do really hope I will be able to play the violin one day.. ^_^ It always look so cool to see people play the violin..but, it's not as easy as it seems..none of the instruments ever are..hehe..practice..


here's something random Candy and I did during our first week of vacation..we were walking around campus and decided to drop by ISCA and do something random..so, we sticked this paper on the front door, after a long search of a place to stick it..hehe..it says "Candy and Sherrie was here! P.S. We're bored" ..lol..we didn't manage to run after doing that, ended up hanging out at ISCA for ice-cream and dinner..hehe..

Last Monday, I helped out at the New Orientation Resource Fair at ISCA booth. Got to met couple of new people, introduced ISCA, talked and later planned for the Welcome Night. Then, Johnny and I went to the music building to practice piano and violin, tried couple of new songs together..later, Johhny, Guo Huan, Ho, Richard, Taka, Candy and I headed to HYPE to play badminton..in between intervals, some would go play basketball and me jogging on the track upstairs.. before we left, we all headed towards the giant weighing scale..lol..so funny..I lost the "who's heavier" competition..went home, showered and headed to Richard's place for more movies..hehe..only Johnny, Ho, Guo Huan, and I turned up for movie..lol..Candy was having body sore, so she couldn't go with..anyways, picture time..

It's freezing COLD!!!

** BBRRRRRR....IT'S SO COLD!!! ***

New Year celebration was fun! It's the first time I'd celebrated New Year without my family and HF..it was nice actually. I celebrated it with Ho, Paul, Richard, Jeremy, Taka, Cacndy, Gary and Hosea. Gary and Hosea were Taka's friends. Hosea is from Indonesia who's studying in OK..anyways, luckily I invited Candy, or else it would have been just me and 7 guys..that would be pretty odd..ok, so we all ate dinner at a chinese restaurant called 'Hunan Manor'. We ordered couple of dishes and had rice. Throughout dinner, it was chit chat and makan..haha After dinner, we all headed back to ISCA House..hung out a while and Paul practicing the keyboard..we later rented a movie to watch at the basement. It was just Me, Candy, Ho, Richard, Jeremy and Andrew who watched the movie--6 Million Dollar Man..haha..Stephen Chow is an actor all of us like.silly comedies seem to be a big hit..lol..Paul continued practicing the keyboard, for 3 hours! man, he really had the patience to play scales for 3 hours..amazing!

when we were done with the movie, it was 15min till midnight. So, we flipped back and forth channels to wait for the countdown..3...2....1...then, suddenly, the basement door opens! Ashley, Simon and Paul came in with a birthday cake, singing the birthday song..haha..it was Ho's birthday..nice huh? but then again, he wasn't surprise..it was like as if he knew we had everything planned.. *sigh..at least pretend to be surprise right?? * =p So, we went upstairs and had cake and chatted more..lol..we seem to be a talkative bunch huh? after everyone had a slice of cake..there were some cake left! Paul and Ho each had 2 slices..and me too! Ok, it wasn't that I wanted it..but they made me eat..they tried so hard to make me feel guilty for rejecting Ho's offer and went on saying how small i was..so, the only way to stop them from focusing on me, I ate it. It wasn't a big slice, but those sugar I consumed kept me awake most of the night..lol..I wanted to sleep but couldn't. So, I came online and chatted with my family..also, Ho called..and we chatted..so, it was like me being involved in 2 different conversations at the same time..haha..pretty funny actually..

Yesterday morning, Simon called me and told me that David and Jac had invited me over for potluck dinner at 5pm! I didn't have anything to cook or prepare for potluck! What was I gonna do? Show up without anything? Simon said they were going to just buy some food to bring over, and asked if I wanna share the cost..so, I didn't have much of a choice but to say yes! When I went over to ISCA before heading to David's, Simon told me they changed their mind and had prepared food.. @_@ ..i was stunned..so, I just went there with a dessert that Ashley had bought..well, it wasn't my fault that I didn't have anything prepared..anyways, dinner was good! satay, ketupat, sushi, meatloaf..then later coffee and dessert..I was really happy! haha..David's mom was a good cook! We watched Ratatoulilee and chat and played a bit..hung out at their place till almost midnight..I was tired when I got back..it was a fun night though..but it was really really cold last night. I had a hard time sleeping due to the cold..

Today, I went to the mall with Candy and Yoko..but there wasn't much to see, what more to buy right? Candy was looking at cosmetics..so I was kinda lost in that section..haha..but at 11pm, Richard came over to fetch Candy and I over to watch movie at ISCA..it was freezing cold!!! -15'C tonight and you could see ice all over..not snow! just ice..i'm wearing so many layers right now..and I can still feel the cold..this is gonna be another long night for me..

Alright, I have to finish my essay and hit the sheets soon..I'll update soon again..hope my last 2 weeks of vacation is gonna be much more fun than it already is..love y'all!
